What I do at Digital Science
As Chief of Staff I'm responsible for the smooth running of the Digital Science Executive Team, including providing them with the information needed (Business Intelligence), leading our Thought Leadership function, driving our strategy planning process, and ensuring the team is able to be as effective as possible.
Why Digital Science
Digital Science is a young, vibrant company with an incredible purpose - to support the research community in every aspect of what they do, from managing research data and making decisions to research workflows and collaboration. The culture is inclusive, friendly and energetic, and the fabulous products continue to evolve to meet the needs of our customers.
Who am I?
I have a PhD in molecular biology of genetic recombination from Imperial College, London, and after that I spent 26 years working in research publishing - first as an editor on Nature, then as a publisher for the Nature journals, and eventually as Chief Journals Officer for Springer Nature.
Advice for prospective candidates
Digital Science is a very hands-on business, so we're looking for candidates who are willing to roll their sleeves up and get involved. How can you contribute to our mission, and help us to serve the wider research ecosystem?
